    The Pacman Nebula (all night)

    The Pacman Nebula or NGC 281 and its internal open star cluster IC 1590 are located 1.75 degrees east of Shedar, which marks the deeper "V" of
    Cassiopeia. The Pacman is circumpolar for mid-Northern latitude observers.
    It's still climbing the eastern sky after dusk in September - offering plenty of viewing and imaging time. In a small telescope, expect to see a handful of loosely arranged stars surrounded by a faint glow that is slightly larger
    than the full moon! The southwestern quadrant of the otherwise round nebula
    is missing - giving the impression of a Pacman-shaped nebula with stars for
    his eye. A dark sky and a larger aperture will show the emission nebula component better - as will a narrowband UHC or O-III filter.
