Hello to the Summer Triangle (late evening)
Shortly after 10 p.m. local time during late May, the bright, white stars
Vega, Deneb, and Altair will all have cleared the eastern horizon. These
three stars form the Summer Triangle asterism D a pattern that appears in
the night sky until the end of December! The Milky Way passes through Deneb. When this star is high in the sky during the hours before pre-dawn, some of
the skies best deep sky objects positioned nearby will look their best.
Those objects will be the prime deep sky targets of July.
