Message reader not updating read pointer after forum read

After completing reading a message forum, the message read pointer isn't being updated. I have to manually mark the specific forum read using ctrl/c . It appears to be random and not always the same forum. I've tried reducing the number of messages in the forums down to 1000. Hasn't worked. I've got the days to save set at 365. There's >80% free left on the 1 GB hard drive mystic is installed on.
I'm running win 11 64 bit using mystic v1.12 A49. Has anyone else noticed
this and/or have a workaround? I'm open to any suggestions!
