  • Talisman on NetBSD?

    I freshly installed NetBSD (current) on a RasPi 1, just for fun. Is there a chance that Talisman compiles and works properly on NetBSD? Has anyone tried it?

    It worked on x86_64 / 9.3 when I tried it last. I didn't test it
    extensivly though.

    You need to have proc mounted (though i think that's default?)

    Servo checks process ids against process names to determine if a node is
    no longer active, I really should add BSD specific code to do that rather
    than rely on procfs.

    Nice! I will try on ARM 32-bit. I'm also using the big-endian version (no particular reason. I'm just in the mood to try something weird).

    Yes, it is mounted on the current (future 10.0) Raspberry Pi image by default.

    I tried to install the Amiga version of NetBSD on this machine, but the installer didn't like to even start... Might have somthing to do with the Buddha IDE card, as I read that NetBSD for the Amiga has very limited
    hardware support.

    I don't have any true SCSI hd's, only a SCSI-SD card and it didn't like
    that either!.....

    Oh! Must have missed that bit.... Then the only thing I can think of is
    that this machines has 3.2 roms. It had 3.x Clanto roms, but they have developed a falt, and I don't have a Eprom program to reprogram. #-(

    My A4000 has 3.1 roms, but only a A3660 accelerator (No onboard ram) and
    12mb of ram on the motherboard.
