I'm Michael, sysop of GooseNet BBS, currently on
fsxNet as 21:1/177. I'd like to join Fidonet as well, but I'm stuck:
the contacts I found so far (net/region coordinators) don't answer
by netmail or email, and some addresses seem to be outdated.

Any pointer to someone who is actually reachable would help a lot.

Touch base w/ Poindexter FORTRAN, he's an RC in zone 1 where I get my feed. I think he's on fsxNet and will probably see this.

Howdy,

Any pointer to someone who is actually reachable would help a lot.

So fidonet is still doing a geo assigned FTN address, so you need to find who looks after your area (you didnt say if you did that - but assume you did).

Then work up the chain to the ZC if you are not getting responses.

If you get nowhere, I can feed you as a point (as I'm sure many others can).

If you go the point option, set yourself up at https://clrghouz.bbs.dege.au and let me know when you are setup and have created (or claimed) your BBS, I'll give you the next steps.

Call out if you get stuck.

Have you tried to contact Torsten Bamberg at 2:24/0 or 2:240/5932? He is the RC of Germany.

I am linked with Harold Kamm at 2:2490/3045. I haven't talked to him in a good long time but I think he is still at the wheel and may be able to help get you moving in the right direction.

If your FSXnet nodelist entry is correct, you're in Germany?

It looks like Torsten Bamberg is your regional coordinator.
