It may have been the policy of the networks you were on rather than a
technical limitation. I used to be on networks that didn't allow points
at all.
I think these days points are most useful if you have an actual node for
your bbs, then if you want to experiment with other bbses, or perhaps
have a ftn reading setup, you can do that with points off of your bbs,
you couldn't do that with your main bbs being a point (ie, points off
points)
I have used a point on fsxnet for a while before coming back because I
was hesitent to bother Paul to set me up a new node if I didn't stay very
long. Though, I'm not worried about bothering deon :) deon can set up
nodes easy with clrghouz :D
