• an issue with any zip-disks

    Hello neoshock!

Zip disks were a life saver for me before CD-R's, I can't recall ever having an issue with any zip-disks.

Wasn't there in issue with zip disks "click of death", or
    something like that?

I actually never heard of that, not until much later during retrospective discussions. I went to school for 3d Animation, and was very important to be able to save your work on a medium you had full control of, and floppies were way to small for that. So maybe I was just lucky. Our school had a choice of zip disks or Jazz disks. Since I already owned a zip drive, it was what I used. I was one of the lucky ones to be able to do some school work at home.

Here's a link that talks about the "click of death": https://www.grc.com/tip/clickdeath.htm

I used a Zip drive for years and never had a single problem. No disk
failures of any kind. For me, it was a very dependable medium.
