Try switching to La Croix. I drink i tall the time and nowadays if I
have a real soda it tastes like a sugar bomb and I can't stand it.

Matt - many folks miss the flavor of soda, as plain water can get boring quickly.
Kombucha is a decent substitute, and can be very cost effective as well if home brewed.
