    Is anyone still using Keybase? I went through a Keybase period, then
    Signal and Telegram came around. It'd be nice if one secure messaging
    platform could work for everyone I know, but I know that having a
    monoculture wouldn't be the most secure way to go.

    keybase.io looked interesting... but then Telegram came around
    for me. Telegram has been very reliable. And I like the
    desktop option. Meanwhile, Simplex isn't bad either; although
    it is just for smartphones only (no gui desktop version, only a
    text-based CLI version which has a few problems.)

    I have not used KB for a while, still have an account but got concerned about where KB was heading when it was bought by Zoom.

    I did like what it offered at the time before it was acquired.

    I gave it a try, but mostly to have a place I can manage my files and MD derived knowledge base easier, but I quickly found that Keybase's unique security features built on top of block chain ain't that cool USP to me comparing to some more convient solutions on all fronts to have file sharing, communication and git management under one hood.

    I like the idea, but keybase is way too premature for my taste to give it a serious try.

    Too many Russian/Belarusan activists being caught by Russian/Belarusian authorities to help me believe this Russian technology is actually safe to use around

    And I also don't like connecting communication services with my phone number anymore.. not after Whatsapp is officially hacked by Mosad engineers and this is paid service offered to govs.

    Generally using niche communication technologies, over telnet, under nickname and talking nonsense bollocks about a hobby that's supposed to be dead for decades is more interesting than Telegram channels talking about the same thing.

    Same with Discord to be honest and other distractions that are not pointing in... rather out.

    Fair enough... Even the Facebook groups are pretty dead, all things considered compared to DoveNet and FSX.

    Yeah, most of the ones I'm most active on are active... but the BBS ones I'll specifically look into, and maybe a couple posts a week.
