• Synchronet Logs to Database

From Basis@1:103/705 to All on Thu May 8 07:49:56 2025
    Hello,
I did some looking around, but nothing obvious came through.

Is there any type of utility that imports the SBBS logs and puts them in a queryable database of some sort? I'm looking to monitor some basic stats beyond the statistics built in.

I'm looking to be able to query something like how many times per day did someone run this door, or how many times today did userx run this door, user x posts per day per user, etc.

There might be a 3rd party general logging program that could ingest these logs with some tweaking to get there. I'm seeing if this has already been solved by someone else.

    Thanks,
    Basis

Maybe splunk is what you need? You'd obviously need to configure it to
    read the files etc.

Log querying is one way (you could just use tools like grep for such tasks) but I'd probably use MQTT instead:
    https://wiki.synchro.net/ref:mqtt

Yes, there are some. Search for "stats" here: https://web.synchro.net/files/Main/SBBS_3RD/

There might be a 3rd party general logging program that could ingest these logs with some tweaking to get there. I'm seeing if this has already been solved by someone else.

I don't know if there's something that does exactly what you have in mind, but similar, yes.
