That guy had a pretty tragic life. His first family was killed with a plane
crashed into his house. To me, he's a sad figure.
I used to have a 4 door Mercury Parklane Brougham which was a car often driven
on the show. I can't believe that I had such a beast - what was I thinking when
I bought it? OTOH, it was pleasant enough to drive. I wasn't a big fan of the
show and was unaware of the car's fame when I owned it. My car had lights on the
front fenders that lit up when turning corners at night. It sounds like a good
feature but I never noticed it because I'm not looking at the side of the car
when turning.
