Keira Knightley's Netflix Spy Show Looks More Intense Than Ever

Netflix has released the official trailer for Black Doves Season 2
with returning star Keira Knightley. The preview teases more
intense action and conspiracies in store for the upcoming season.
Black Doves Season 2 premieres on Thursday, November 5, on Netflix.
Created by Joe Barton, this thriller series follows Knightley's
Helen, the wife of the Secretary of State for Defence of the
United Kingdom, who is secretly a spy.

What do we see in the Black Doves Season 2 trailer?
The trailer for Black Doves Season 2 returns with Helen, who
continues to deceive the nation and send government secrets to her
employers, the enigmatic Black Doves. Now that her husband is
preparing to become the prime minister, the stakes are higher than
ever.
Helen soon reunites with Ben Whishaw's Sam after her handler,
Mrs. Reed, is entangled in a plot to undermine her position in the
spy organization. Helen and Sam must work together once again to
get to the bottom of this deadly game.
The trailer teases the tense conspiracy at the center of the season
as Helen and Sam face more lethal challenges.
Discussing Knightley's character, the show's creator Joe Barton
tells Tudum, "She's literally the spy at the heart of government,
so she's kind of reached the pinnacle of where she can get to." He
added, "But at the same time as that happens, her handler, Reed
(Sarah Lancashire), goes missing. So Helen's in this very
precarious situation, suddenly, and without her professional ally."
Meanwhile, Sam is "at a low point because he's in some legal trouble
and is in a kind of Faustian pact with this mysterious man who gets
him out of prison," explains Barton.
In addition to Knightley and Whishaw, Black Doves stars Sarah
Lancashire, Gabrielle Creevy, Ella Lily Hyland, Kathryn Hunter,
Ambika Mod, Babou Ceesay, Sam Riley, Neve Campbell, and more.
