fire stick decided to spontaneously show me this. It?s a couple years old, blatant rip off of Longmire (right down to a Martinez as a bar owner) but when I saw Sarah Lancaster was in it, I decided to give it a try.
There are no surprises here. No real thought either.

Doctor Strange (4K disc) 2016 origin story for Dr. Strange who must
bargain with Dormammu in order to save the day. Great movie. It was >painful watching this in 2D when all the obvious 3D effect sequences
kept popping up on screen. I *know* how great this movie looks in 3D,
but I'm powering through these movies, and they are often background
noise, so I'm not messing with the 3D this go around.
Thor: Ragnarok (Disney+) Since I own the 3D disc, but not the 4K disc, I >went ahead and streamed the 4K IMAX Enhanced version off Disney+ (I was >surprised by how many of these early MCU movies I don't own on a 4K).

his evil older sister Hela (Cate Blancett), but first he gets

but ended up getting sucked into the story.
Avengers: Infinity War (4K disc) Perfect Movie! The plot has our hero, >Thanos, defeating a bunch of busybody super powered individuals who are >trying to stop him from saving the universe. Since Thanos is the hero
of this movie, of course he wins. This truly was the golden age of the
MCU. And like Doctor Strange, it can be painful at times watching this
in 2D. I *almost* swapped out the 4K disc for 3D just for the Nebula >torture scene when her body is being stretched apart by Thanos.
Captain Marvel (4K disc) 2019 prequel that shows the origin of Captain >Marvel (Brie Larson). Solid origin movie and sets the stage for her >introduction in "Endgame." I intentionally skipped "Ant-Man," and
"Black Panther," so I'm all caught up and ready for next week.

look out for new talent to join the games. Hulk would be a great
contestant since he's always going to win and can't be killed and
isn't going to try to take over the planet. He just wants to fight and

Yeah, I recently rewatched this and enjoyed it. Poor Goose and Fury, a mismatched couple. LOL.
I had an extended Internet outage which gave me time to work thru the
first season of S.W.A.T., SAVING GRACE and POWERS. SAVING GRACE was
the Holly Hunter based show where her character, Grace, ends up
getting her own personal angel to help her avoid going to Hell.
POWERS was a 2015 show that lasted two seasons that was based in a
world where there are super powered individuals and deals with the
cops that have to deal with those powered individuals. With some
decent performance by people like Sharlto Copley. He plays a cop
dealing with the powered people who used to be one of them, but had
his powers literally eaten and is now just a normal person dealing
with all the normal cop issues. Just while dealing with people who can
snap and toss you into a wall leaving you a bloody mess that gets
cleaned up with a mop. A world that shares a lot with what we see in
THE BOYS.

Modern 3D is light years beyond that. Did you see Avatar in 3D in the >theaters? Avatar, used brand new 3D technology that was invented a
couple of years before. I don't think Avatar was the first movie to use >that technology, but it was by far the most popular. The 3D technology
used in Avatar and later movies is crystal clear. It actually looks
better than 2D. A lot of the Resident Evil movies of the day also used
that technology which is probably why they remained popular into the nth >sequel. The problem was studios rushing into the 3D bandwagon and
releasing 2D movies with cheap 3D conversions. A lot of 3D conversions
are actually really good, but the rushed cheap ones are a nightmare to
look at, and studios flooded the market place with them.
Unfortunately 3D all but died in the U.S. (although there are still 3D >theatrical releases) but it survives and is still going very strong in
other countries. Those of us who are 3D enthusiasts can still get new >movies in 3D, but we have to import them. A lot of older movies
originally released in 3D are also getting modern 3D conversions and
look great as well.

Funny you mention Powers. I actually own the first season on blu-ray.
Never watched, still in the shrinkwrap. It was either a blind buy or
maybe I saw the first episode somewhere. I kept on meaning to watch it,
one day, but just never did. Technically, it's still on my, I'm going
to get to it one day list. LOL It's exactly the type of show I'm sure
Id love, but 10 years in and I just haven't pulled the trigger on
watching it.

Like Emma Peel, who consumed nothing but champagne without ill effect,
Grace was a drunk, ate nothing, and was unaffected. Tiny Holly Hunter >routinely took down much larger men. She fought constantly with the
angel, who despite being nearly as old as time, was naive about human >affairs. The police procedural was pedestrian and the writing mediocre.
The show relies entirely on the strength of her performance, which is >terrific. Should have been much better. She's impossibly fit, given the >drinking, which I found quite entertaining as she was often unclothed.
