Sunny Hostin?s chronic desire to always be a victim of purported racism
may have finally caught up with her and may land her in the defendant?s
seat in a courtroom. Earlier this week, lawyers representing a group of
white Mississippi teenagers sent ?The View? co-host a letter
threatening to sue her for defamation. The complaint stemmed from her
on-air comments suggesting they were involved in a racist murder of
their close black friend Nolan Wells, despite there being no evidence
of foul play.
Hostin?s chronic grievance also led her to recently claim Hollywood was
being racist against her by not turning her poorly written smut books
into movies and TV shows.
The threat of a lawsuit stemmed from the July 14 episode of ?The View,?
where they discussed the Wells case when it was barely a week old.
Despite the lack of publicly available evidence, and local authorities
also saying there was no evidence of foul play, Hostin openly suggested
that it was more likely than not a racially motivated murder by Wells?

is conducting an independent investigation, so much so,
because it?s happening in Mississippi. There are some racial
undertones to this. He was the only black kid on an island
full of kids who were white.

HOSTIN: They turned off their social media accounts. They say
that they have cooperated with the police, but they took his ?
they kept his phone and didn?t give it to his parents.
Of course, she took the word of Crump, the camera-chasing, race-baiting
lawyer and friend. She has previously hyped Crump as America?s ?black
attorney general? on the show.
In their letter demanding Hostin retract and apologize for the
aspersions she cast on their clients, the teens? lawyers called out
Hostin?s ?brand of ?journalism?? as ?no Sunny Delight: rather, your
?brand? is toxic, moronic, and daft.?
?We now understand why, instead of seeking justice, you now work for
?The View,? a show that long betrayed any semblance of fairness,
reason, or common sense,? they continued.
The allure of constantly being a victim is an enticing one for Hostin,
and she?s made it a large part of her public persona. That?s even
though she?s descended from a long line of prolific slave owners.
Slaves whose descendants she has made no effort to pay reparations to
(while demanding the United States pay her).
The virtue she sees in victimhood is what has led her to claim
Hollywood was being racist against her and ?gatekeeping? her smut books
from being turned into features, thus leading her to partner with a
production company that uses AI.
?I?ve written a trilogy, and for six years, I?ve tried to get my films
or my stories made into series and films. And the gatekeeping in
Hollywood around black and brown, creative content is insane,? she
whined. ?I cannot get New York Times best-selling books onto the screen
to tell diverse stories to diverse communities.?
She defended the use of AI, and thus not giving black actors work, by ridiculously suggesting no black actor can find work in Hollywood.
?[T]he real people are not getting jobs in Hollywood. Black and brown
actors are not getting the jobs,? she lied.
In all likelihood, Hollywood is not interested in adapting her books
because they?re terrible. Her books are on The New York Times best-
seller list because she has a large, baked-in fan base from being a TV personality, which doesn?t always translate to a successful production.
Hostin?s inability to exhibit honest self-reflection and deep-seated
need to be the victim, especially for racial grievances, may lead her
to refuse the apology to the white teens. In such a case, discovery
should be fun.
