A massive warehouse containing a million cubic yards of insulation and 85 million pounds of meat and other food caught fire in Boyle Heights back in
July and couldn't be put out for more than a week. In the meantime an entire section of the city was engulfed in choking, poisonous smoke and had to be evacuated. And where was Bass? She literally was out of town at a cocktail party again, just like she was for the Palisades/Altadena fires. This time she was in Chicago worshipping Obama at the grand opening of his Borg Cube that looms over the Hyde Park neighborhood like an alien destroyer.
We've received some wildfire advisory warnings for the coming weekend. I hear that Bass has already booked a flight to Tanzania just in case. She doesn't want to chance being caught actually in the city when a fire breaks out.
Stephen King couldn't plot a more hellish mayoral choice facing Los Angeles. Our only hope is that thousands of people write in Spencer Pratt in November.
