I'm actually confused by why everyone at "Blue Bloods" is so pissy that
the show got cancelled. Any show that runs 7 seasons is an unqualified "success", and the shows that run longer than that are anomalous. BB

got the axe?!
He doesn't sound surprised, just bummed. It was slated for cancellation
once before, and the cast volunteered to take a 25% pay cut all around
so that more episodes could be made.
According to the article, it was a good working environment where
everyone got along and didn't start drama. I can see why it was
appealing, given some of the crazy set stories I've heard.
