Stam Fine Reviews continues a look at Space:1999, a British-made but American-focused Sci-Fi Series from the mid 70s that was created by
    Gerry and Sylvia Anderson.

On the 50th Anniversary of Space 1999's first broadcast, we are taking
a look at each of the 24 episodes of the first season, often known as
    Year One from 1975-76.

For a look at the series' origins, makings and other borderline
    inaccuracies, there's part one here:
    ? Space: 1999 (1975-77). Part One: Let's Par...

Earth's moon breaks out of orbit on September 13, 1999, launching it
out into space along with 300 or so survivors of Moonbase Alpha.
Commander John Koenig (Martin Landau) and Dr Helena Russell (Barbara
Bain) lead the men and women of Alpha across their random journey
across the universe. Two seasons were made, but they were quite
different form each other. One was ultra serious and little attempt was
made to explain everything, while the other was much lighter, faster-
paced, and full of space monsters. Also stars Barry Morse, Nick Tate, Catherine Schell, Tony Anholt, Zienia Merton, Clifton Jones, Anton
    Phillips, and Prentis Hancock.

And made by the worst producer in television who deliberately made bad television because he has stated for the record television is supposed to
    be bad.

It began as UFO season two. While they were brainstorming, Lord Grade said
?why don?t we blow up the Earth?? They tried to talk him down as there
wouldn?t be room for an episode two. It eventually came out the other side
    as Space 1999.

Also stars Barry Morse, Nick Tate,

I think he was only working on season two.

Yes, they brought him to destroy the show as he destroyed so many others
