I caught up on Ghosts (the US version). The show's still watchable,
though the cast is too large. I'm doing a movie day today, so I may have something more interesting to report tomorrow.
What did everyone else watch?

I noticed the wife character seemed to be doing a lot of sitting down in
the last few episodes. I was wondering if maybe they are hiding a pregnancy.

Hmm, I didn't notice.
They could write a pregnancy into the show. Ghost nanny?
Maybe I'll check out The Devil Wears Prada. It's time to put on another >movie.

She was pregnant but they didn't write the pregnancy into the show.

They didn't, but they could. Jay and Sam are a young couple who own a
home. Having a child seems like a natural step for them, if one ignores
all the ghostly shenanigans. They don't bother making the ghost rules consistent, so they can slap on a new rule that all babies can see
ghosts and start a number of new plots.
It could perk up the show. It's still watchable as it is, but it's
repeating itself and adding more throwaway jokes to make up for the
lessening organic humor.
On the other hand, adding a baby to a show is sometimes seen as a
desperation move which can put audiences off.

Agreed. Another factor against adding a kid is it's probably really expensive and time consuming for the show.

On TV, most baby characters I've seen are played by dolls most of the
time. It's common to see a TV mom pushing a doll around in a stroller.
I've seen that done on Charmed and Mad About You, and probably others
I'm forgetting.

Another method is using twins. When one get cranky or misbehaves you
just swap them.

Yeah, the Olsen twins started that way. The show doesn't even really
need that until they're old enough to have lines, though. If they added
a baby and the show went on another couple of years, they could cast
toddler twins at that point.

Having just watched the lastest episode, it doesn't appear thet the
actress is prenant. She was standing without anything in front of her a
lot of the time.
