You don't need a subscription, you don't need to register, and you
don't need any special app. Just go to the website, find the Special
during the free days, and watch it.
"All you'll need to do to watch is go to tv.apple.com or download the
Apple TV app. There, you can search for "A Charlie Brown Christmas"?
and hit play to stream for free."
Not only is it *completely* free, but there are no advert breaks and
you can watch it whenever and as many times as you want during the free couple of days ... unlike when it aired on regular TV only in a
scheduled timeslot and with adverts.
Or, yes, you can buy the DVDs and watch them without adverts any time of year.

The ill-will of Apple is to use force to extract a global monopoly on Peanuts Holiday TV specials from the copyright holders.

to the Apple streaming channel?
You obviously didn't actually read the article. Each of the three >>>>>> Charlie Brown specials is streamed *for free* during the appropriate >>>>>> holiday season - no need to pay a subscription to anything.
And go through the hassle of registering with AppleTV? I'll go with my >>>>> DVD I picked up in a pawn shop for a couple of bucks years ago. Also my >>>>> It's a Wonderful Life DVD so it isn't dragged out to 3 hrs. on NBC.
You don't need a subscription, you don't need to register, and you
don't need any special app. Just go to the website, find the Special
during the free days, and watch it.
?? "All you'll need to do to watch is go to tv.apple.com or download the >>>> ??? Apple TV app. There, you can search for "A Charlie Brown Christmas" >>>> ??? and hit play to stream for free."
Not only is it *completely* free, but there are no advert breaks and
you can watch it whenever and as many times as you want during the free >>>> couple of days ... unlike when it aired on regular TV only in a
scheduled timeslot and with adverts.
Being required to use an Apple App is not "free", any more than being
required to register to a website is "free". The App, the ads, the
registration, are incumbrances.
Why can't people read??
You **DO NOT NEED ANY SPECIAL APP**.
Just use any device with a reasonably modern web browser. You also
don't need an Apple ID / registration either to watch the free shows /
movies.
Have you verified that? Or it that Press Releases always
tell the truth?
There are innumerable promotional materials in general
that claim to be FREE but require registration, perhaps
with a valid card. If they require something from
the consumer they are not "free".
Or, yes, you can buy the DVDs and watch them without adverts any time of year.
The ill-will of Apple is to use force to extract a global monopoly on
Peanuts Holiday TV specials from the copyright holders.
As if every other network doesn't have their own "exclusives".? :-\
I assume that Apple strong armed Peanuts to the
exclusion of other broadcasters or sites. The peanuts
we're talking about is 60 year old programs, not brand new
programs that no one has seen before.
Apple is a far smaller channel than ABC of 60 years ago.
