    Gun shop owner's cash deposits brought him to federal attention although
    he passed a series of audits. State prosecutors then brought criminal
    charges but they were either dismissed or acquital. Then they used state
    civil asset forfeiture laws.

    When a judge is basically yelling at you and telling you you're North Korea, you might take it as a clue that you've gone to far with your property seizures.

    What was the forfeiture suit based on? A specific criminal offence or
    something more general?
