• What Did You Watch? 2026-01-18 (Sunday)

From Ubiquitous@3:633/10 to All on Mon Jan 19 04:30:41 2026
    I watched:

    THUNDARR THE BARBARIAN:
"Portal Into Time". The evil wizard Khromm threatens a tribe of humans
at the Alamo. They can protect themselves by using a sophisticated
Guardian machine that utilizes flying robot drones that can disable the wizard's laser tanks. But when it blows a circuit, Thundarr and the
group must use Khromm's moon dial to journey into the past to get the necessary replacement part for the Guardian. This enables Thundarr's
crew to see Old Earth and then return to their own time to save the
    village from Khromm.

    THUNDARR THE BARBARIAN:
"Battle of the Barbarians". The evil wizard Kublai seeks the Golden
Scepter of the Yantzee, the only item which can strip him of his magic,
and terrorizes the villagers of San Francisco's Chinatown in the
process. When Thundarr thwarts his initial attempts, the wizard
recruits Zogar, another barbarian to engage him in battle while Kublai
tries again to find the scepter.

    THUNDARR THE BARBARIAN:
"Den of the Sleeping Demon". Judag is a bitter, escaped former slave of
an evil wizard who plans to awaken an alleged sleeping demon that
allegedly can grant whoever wakes it the powers of 1,000 wizards. It is
up to Thundarr to prevent Judag from accomplishing this mission.

    CHARLIE'S ANGELS:
"Night of the Strangler". Dana Cameron, a fashion model who bears an
uncanny resemblance to Kelly, falls victim to the so called 'Rag-doll Strangler'. Kelly and Jill join the St. Clair Model Agency and Sabrina
cons herself into a job as a photo stylist. Each time they think they
suspect someone of being the killer, the strangler strikes again,
leaving the suspect with an alibi (usually one of the Angels
    themselves).

    HART TO HART:
"Jonathan Hart Jr". An innocent woman is being blackmailed by her ex-
husband, who threatens to implicate her in a robbery. He forces her to
send her son to Jonathan, saying that the boy is Jonathan's son,
Jonathan Hart Jr. Jonathan realises that the boy is not his but is
determined to find his mother and discover what the real story is. When
the boy is kidnapped during an outing to the zoo the mystery deepens.
Then his mother turns up and she appears to remember personal details
about Jonathan. However, Jonathan becomes suspicious when a ransom
    demand is made.

    FANTASY ISLAND:
? "Family Reunion". Two children trick their divorced parents into a
family weekend together, complete with future stepparents, in the hope
of reuniting Mom and Dad. Casting haily Mills as the mother was
brilliant, but I did not expect she and the father to reunite, teaching
    the children a valuable lesson

? "Voodoo". a young woman (hey, it's Julie McCoy!) with amnesia turns
to a voodoo practitioner in the hope of finding out if she is a missing heiress. This one was interesting, but Ernie Hudson was really hamming
it up as the vodoo priest and the resolution was ridiculous. It turns
out that Julie's finance (hey, it's Gary Collins!) had heepnotized her
in order to plant some false memories and get rich when she inherited
    the family fortune.

    THE VALLEY PERSIAN STYLE:
"Valley Days And Persian Nights". Old friends Reza, Mercedeh and
Golnesa have traded Beverly Hills for suburban life in the Valley.
Their new social circle features family matters, strong personalities
and the ever-present prospect of clashes. While the couples in the
group seem happy, cracks in their relationships emerge. Financial
speculation about Golnesa spreads through the group, and comes to a
head at Persian Night. I never finished this one after remembering how
    much I dislike these people.

    LIFE, LIBERTY & LEVIN.

I watched the first two episodes of Thundarr the Barbarian, "The Black

I considered another ST:SA, but I ended up playing Monkey Mart instead.

well, if you're going to mention Ms. Powers, there is,

NFL football playoffs - After the 49ers were decimated by Seattle,
Sunday's games were lower stakes for me.
In a surprise to probably no one, the Texans imploded against the Patriots, so the Pats will now play the Broncos in the AFC Championship
(and will likely win as the Broncos have to play their second string QB).
The other game felt like it shouldn't have been close, but was close
the whole way! It turned out that the Bears "gave it away" one time too
many allowing the "LA" Rams to advance to the NFC Championship (where I
expect them to be dismantled by the Seahawks as badly as the 49ers were!).

soaps: DOOL - Fri's ep. Honestly, I don't really remember what
happened... More malarkey with Cat, her brother and Rafe. I don't even remember what else happened.
GH - Fri's ep. Well that was good! Willow gets off! - She is found
not guilty of shooting Drew! (even though she did shoot Drew!!). (And
what happens in Monday's episode is primo!!...) Before that Michael
tries to make YA disingenuous "visitation" agreement with Willow, but it interrupted by news of the verdict coming in. Meanwhile, it's the
"afterglow" with Emma and Gio (yuck!). And they continue to play
mind-games with Anna in captivity. Oh and Obrecht seems to bury the
    hatchet with daughter Britt.

The Night She Disappeared (Lifetime) - Lifetime and LMN have been
putting out some clunkers lately, but I thought this was a cut-above
their other recent offerings. Yes, it was derivative of other movies
Lifetime has done previously (notably there are some similarities with
2019's "Secrets in a Small Town"). But it helped that the lead, Rachel
Sellan (she's been in the secondary cast of a couple of previous
Lifetime flicks), is quite attractive... Anyway, I actually enjoyed this
one, and they did a decent job setting up some plausible red herrings
    behind the daughter's disappearance.

Huh, that sounds more interesting than most Charlie's Angels plots. >>>>>>

Where is everyone? I see like five postings every day.

    9800 this morning

Your provider obviously doesn't employ spam filters. All that JEWISH PAEDO >>> bullshit that is endlessly bot-posted here is nuked by my provider before I >>> ever see it. Without the spam, we are indeed down to just a handful of posts
    per day here.

Yeah, they leave it for the filters in the app. It gets marked as read, but >> it takes like an hour per 10,000 spams.

I haven't been counting but even with the various posters I've
kill-filed I see upwards of 100 posts a day here.

I junk crossposts first. Then, there's 6 to 24 posts a day. Most days
    it's at the lower end.
