ÿÿ Russell T Davies, showrunner of Doctor Who, says that spin-off
ÿÿ programme, The War Between the Land and the Sea, is "even better"
ÿÿ than the production team thought it would be... but no one has any
ÿÿ idea when it'll air on TV and Disney+.

Even better than they thought it would be? You mean they thought it
would be absolute crap, but now it's just crap?

Does this mean there had to be numerous reshoots in order to make it
appear coherent? Is this the reason for the delay?

ÿÿ On the Pilot TV podcast, Davies enthuses: "Sometimes you finish a
ÿÿ show and they're like, 'Great, good, we did a really good job'...
ÿÿ Sometimes they go through post-production where everything comes in.
ÿÿ You work on the effects, on the music and the grading of it.
ÿÿ Sometimes magic happens - and it's happening with this. It's even
ÿÿ better than we thought it was! I'm delighted with it."

So basically the story and the acting is absolute crap.

ÿÿ However, he says the airdate is "up in the air", so we don't know if
ÿÿ we'll see the series any time soon.

So midnight on a day hardly anyone watches TV like they did with Class.

ÿÿ The War Between the Land and the Sea is expected to feature the Sea
ÿÿ Devils vs UNIT, though the former looks rather different to anything
ÿÿ we've seen before, looking more humanoid than appearances in, say,
ÿÿ Warriors of the Deep and Legend of the Sea Devils. Otherwise, it's
ÿÿ an aquatic species coming into conflict with mankind.

ÿÿ The show features Gugu Mbatha-Raw (who previously played Martha
ÿÿ Jones' sister, Tish) as Salt, and Russell Tovey (Voyage of the
ÿÿ Damned) as Barclay, alongside Jemma Redgrave as Kate Stewart. It

Why would anyone want to watch a show fronted by a character who behaves
like an incompetent, self centred, misandristic, man hating bitch,
surrounded by a bunch of homosexuals and other DEI hires?

ÿÿ also stars Ruth Madeley, Colin McFarlane, Alexander Devrient,
ÿÿ Adrian Lukis, Mei Mac, Patrick Baladi, Francesca Corney, and
    ÿÿ Vincent Franklin.

Ah yes, people who imbue total incompetence and total lack of capability
to actually do the job of protecting the world from coming to harm, or
follow orders and respect the chain of command.

ÿÿ The series is co-written by Davies and Pete McTighe (Kerblam!, Lucky
    ÿÿ Day).

Ah yes, the writer of the lowest rating episode ever.

ÿÿ The War Between the Land and the Sea will screen on BBC1, BBC
ÿÿ iPlayer, and internationally on Disney+... at some point in the
ÿÿ future, we think/hope. Could it be the last gasp of this era of
ÿÿ Doctor Who? It seems likely.

I'm guessing that Disney+ doesn't want to show it because if it did it
would lose money by having to promote it and it would do irreparable
damage to its reputation which is already badly damaged as it is through
its attempts to sexually groom children. Maybe they want to do what
Warner did to Batgirl by claiming it as a tax write-off if they don't
    release it.

Simple. It’s because they don’t agree with that interpretation
of the characters. I’m surprised you needed to ask.

It isn't an interpretation. It's a fact which emerges from the script
because that is how the character is written. She release a monster
inside UNIT HQ which could have killed everyone so that she could
sexually harass, demean, and insult Conrad because he was a man when she
could have just ordered the security guards there to shoot him on the
spot the moment the lift doors opened.

(OTOH you’ll be watching every episode just so you can complain
about how much you hate watching it.)

I will only be watching it so that others don't have to.

Thanks. Looks like a lot of focus on the relationship between
Barclay and that one Silurian. I'll probably pass.

I suppose there had to be some sort of a relationship in it
somewhere didn't there? It's not like we could have a drama

The disgusting woke perverts have to find a way to sexually groom kids somehow.
telling a story about a conflict between humans and sea reptiles
    without it...

Not with a bunch of sick, perverted, soap opera hacks writing.

Again, not everyone shares that interpretation.

It isn't an interpretation. It's an absolute fact. The sexist bigot set
a monster loose upon UNIT and the whole world and then tried to blame
Conrad with putting the world in danger, when it was she who had put the
world in danger because of her hatred of men.

What was the point of asking us why we would watch it if you’re
not going to accept the answer!?!

    It was a rhetorical question.
