Loved the running Bud Lite gag, but it's a bit late, is it not?

This was OK. Not great but not as terrible as everything has been since
1978. I’d probably put it on a par with Superman 2, which was half as good
as Superman the movie. The Nookie was better than I thought he’d be as Guy Gardner although I have no idea why they decided to make him blonde instead
of carrot top orange. Hawkgirl brought nothing to the party. I guess Mr. Terrific must’ve been an addition to the comics after I stopped reading
them. There were a lot of characters I had no idea who they were; for
instance, Lex had two hot women in evening type dresses in his office. One
was Miss Tessmacher, but I haven’t got any clue who the other one was
unless they just tossed in a bimbo du jour.
I hated Ma Kent. Metamorpho left me underwhelmed. There was so little left
of the city of Metropolis at the end I would think it would be easier to
start over somewhere else. \S/tupidgirl just offended me.

Yeah, it's a great show but not something that is good to binge. Best
to break it up with some comedies in between episodes if you want to
get in multiple episodes over a short time.

I went all South Parky. I watched Cred, a South Park special from a few
years ago. I've definitely seen parts of it before, but I didn't
remember the overall plot. Did I watch it while stoned, or am I just
    getting old?

It takes a look at out-of-control influencer culture. It concludes that
there are essentially no protections for children and that preparing the children themselves is hopeless, which implies that this can't be fixed without top-down intervention. It's an interesting perspective from the
same guys who once gave us Bigger, Longer, and Uncut to mock the idea
that bad stuff on a TV show was responsible for influencing children...
but Trey and Matt are older, and also times have changed. It's much,
much easier now for children to trip over things which will hurt them,
so it seems a reasonable position to revise.

I then watched "Joining the Panderverse." I do remember watching this
one, but I thought it was worth watching again. It has the usual South
Park satire. One touch I liked was that some characters are baffled and outraged by everyone suddenly turning into diverse women, while other characters just shrug. It reminds me of discussions I saw when it was
first streamed: some people thought it was hilarious or even eerie to
see someone else being Cartman so allegedly perfectly, while others
thought the whole point was that the replacements were all terrible. The in-show characters mirror this, so I guess Trey and Matt predicted well.

That doesn't surprise me a bit. We eat "food products" instead of food,
design our lives around avoiding exercise, make our kids start their
lives in harmful institutions, and now we've started dating text

I've started to wonder if the only good place to rear children would be

This was OK. Not great but not as terrible as everything has been since
1978. I’d probably put it on a par with Superman 2, which was half as good

Well, she was cute. That's something.

    \S/tupidgirl just offended me.

That's what they want her to do for some inexplicable reason. They're actually

If she's slutty, why would they hate her?!! ;p

Suppose Rosie O’Donnell was slutty. Wouldn’t you hate her even more?

I wish Arthur were here to discuss this. :-(

He seemed young in the movie. He's middle-aged in the comics, is he not?

As I understand it, there's a new version of Supergirl who was traumatized
    by her time on Kandor.

Pumpkin orange. And ridiculously over muscled because he’s had the ring working on him. Carrot Top would have been perfect casting.

Yeah, that was definitely a Kirby design

I remember enough from the comics that he was closer to middle age when Stagg transmuted him.

Perhaps that was his real hair and he didn't want to dye it?

Hawkgirl brought nothing to the party.

Well, she did murder one particularly important character. So there was
    that.

    I guess Mr.
Terrific must’ve been an addition to the comics after I stopped reading them.

According to Wikipedia the character has been around since 1942. With
the modern version debuting in 1997. I remember him from Justice League Unlimited in the early to mid 2000s. And he was a regular on "Arrow." Apparently the character also made an appearance on "Smallville" but I
    don't remember that.

There were a lot of characters I had no idea who they were; for
instance, Lex had two hot women in evening type dresses in his office. One was Miss Tessmacher, but I haven’t got any clue who the other one was unless they just tossed in a bimbo du jour.
I hated Ma Kent. Metamorpho left me underwhelmed. There was so little left
of the city of Metropolis at the end I would think it would be easier to start over somewhere else.

There was a post credit scene showing Metropolis under repair.

    \S/tupidgirl just offended me.

There's a whole movie with her coming out next year! Apparently that characterization (and the movie's plot) is being adapted straight from
    the comics.

I wish Arthur were here to discuss this. :-(

I think I liked it more than you. But not as much as some others who
are calling it the best thing ever. As a reboot of the franchise, I
like where things are headed with a new Superman who is closer to the Christopher Reeve version. But I would have appreciated seeing a little
more Superman action in the movie. I know the movie was full of action,
but you can never have too much Superman doing Super things.
