• Whatever Happened to Arthur?

From BTR1701@3:633/280.2 to All on Mon Aug 18 03:30:09 2025
Arthur Lipscomb seems to have disappeared. Did he just choose to leave or did something happen to him? I miss his contributions to the group.

He sometimes disappears during Summers. I assume vacations and cons, and whatnot. He often turns back up by the time the fall premieres start up.

But, realistically, this group is down to just a few regulars, so it's reasonable to expect that people will drift away from usenet for good.

Personally, I'm sticking around, but am not watching much TV right now
and am otherwise distracted, so I'm not posting here much either these days.

Thanks, I guess I never noticed his summer breaks before.

Hopefully that's the case. I know DragonCon is coming up but it's a
bit early to be traveling for that.

His Facebook and messenger accounts are still there, but I haven’t heard from him in at least a month. I sent him a are you OK? Query but haven’t heard anything back yet.

I also sent a query to his cousin, but she doesn’t seem to have posted in more than a year herself.

On the same subject wonder whatever happened to "A Friend"? He was a
nice guy and seemed to know a lot about the industry.

FWIW, Arthur's last post to this NG appears to have been on July 16. He
was posting regularly and just stopped.

A Friend's last post to this NG was Feb. 16 of last year.

I'm back. I posted the other day that I got annoyed with all the
negativity I was seeing the group. It wasn't a thought out plan to
leave, it just sort of evolved that way after a few days of not coming
back. Then I did on vacation and that kept me away for another couple
    of weeks.

I actually was still reading some of the posts in the Facebook group.
But I didn't see someone reached out on messenger until several days
went by. Even this post I didn't see until just now.
