I just watched the first two (of six) episodes of Butterfly and I'm
finding it pretty good. It's an action-adventure series set in South
Korea and features some familiar faces. It's an Amazon series.
Daniel Dae Kim, who I haven't seen since some appearances in The Good >Doctor, stars as a former CIA operative who was been thought dead, >especially by the leader of CAPPIS, a private consulting firm he
co-founded with Piper Perabo (last seen living with Kevin Costner in >Yellowstone). CAPPIS has turned into some very dark activities since
Kim's character's "death" and one of their darkest deeds is the moulding
of Kim's daughter Rebecca as their most effective - and I mean deadly - >operatives. Kim comes out of hiding to try to reconnect with his
daughter and rescue her from the clutches of CAPPIS. This is directly >contrary to the wishes of Perabo's character and sparks a very deadly
hunt by CAPPIS for Kim's character and Rebecca.
As I said, I like it so far but there are still 4 episodes to go so who >knows how it will turn out?
IMDB doesn't have a rating yet but I'll give it a tentative 7.5 out of 10.
