    I watched:

    THE SPONGEBOB BUS THEORY:
When Spongebob got trapped in Rock Bottom... I don't think it was a coincidence.

THE MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER HOUR SEGMENTS | TIME OF THE APES:
The Mystery Science Theater Hour opens with a simple title sequence: a wide shot of "Your Host," played by Michael J. Nelson (doing his impersonation of Jack Perkins), standing in a studio surrounded by images from that episode's film.

In the first half of the episode, the host introduces the movie and
summarizes the plot quickly. When the second half begins, he offers a short recap of what's happened so far, along with a few clips.

At the end of the hour, Mike returns one last time to preview part two or share some final thoughts about the movie. https://youtu.be/kKqNwB96Yyc?si=l1kX2VyXs3aSKz1c

PEDRO PASCAL COULD TANK FANTASTIC FOUR WITH HIS POLITICS?:
Pedro Pascal is getting super political again, and we have to wonder if
his upcoming movies will suffer the "Rachel Zegler effect." Meaning, could
his heavy political opinions turn off audiences to the Fantastic Four and
The Mandalorian? Will Gina Carano's case benefit from this, as Disney doesn't seem to be shutting him down?
    https://youtu.be/gzRXfwx11vI?si=PjBzy9iBQWFIkmDW

DOCTOR WHO "THE INTERSTELLAR SONG CONTEST" HONEST REVIEW BY A PRO SCI-FI WRITER:
Russell T. Davies hired trans activist Juno Dawson to write The Interstellar Song Contest for Doctor Who with Ncuti Gatwa and Varada Sethu getting really gay.
    https://youtu.be/rcRjwye4H4M?si=eiVgoxDFnWu3qKXc

    FAMILY GUY:
"The Fat Lotus". Peter suspects Lois of betraying his trust with Quagmire at
    a swanky vacation resort.
Didn't they make a spoof about streaming shows a couple weeks ago? I was bored, TBH, but did laugh at Consuela refusing to clean up Brian's mess.

    KRAPOPOLIS:
"Ty Died". Ty is tired of his family thinking he's not important enough to
    be assassinated. He'll show them!
OK, I wasn't expecting the guy who wasn't sppsd to assassinate Ty actually
did it and I did enjoy their takes on the Hades mythology. Sisyphus is a hard worker, tho!

    Fringe S4E12 'Welcome to Westfield'
IMDb sez: "Peter, Olivia and Walter come face to face with a mysterious
and terrifying Fringe event as they get trapped in a town that there's
    no escaping."

The glyphs for this episode spell out: OLIVE
The events occurring in Westfield may have been inspired by the Internet legends of Irkhammer, Iowa, Ashley, Kansas, and Doveland, Wisconsin, all
of which have elements in the story and all of which were popular around
the time of the airing of this episode.
The theme of the episode "Welcome to Westfield" regards a town that the population cannot leave which is similar to the premise of "Wandavision"
which takes place in the fictional town of Westview, New Jersey, which
based on the real town of Westfield NJ.
(I think that's a little more reality than I want in a sci-fi horror show.)

Fringe S4E13 'A Better Human Being'
IMDb sez: "As the Fringe team investigates a mentally ill patient who
appears to be connected to a series of murders, frightening clues and connections are uncovered that lead Olivia to some shocking revelations."
(Like the fact that the Olivia from the Dawson's Creek guy's timeline
has been starting to take over her mind for the last few episodes?)
(Oh, and the human hive killing people.)

The glyphs for this episode spell out: HENRY
When Peter leaves the convenience store while searching for Olivia,
there is a sign for Slusho Brand drinks. This is a recurring easter egg
in JJ Abrams Productions, most notably as a tie-in with his film
Cloverfield. (Sorry, I refuse to accept any theory that 'Fringe' and 'Cloverfield' are in the same universe. That's just a universe too far!)

Fringe S4E14 'The End of All Things'
IMDb sez: "Peter and the Fringe team take extraordinary measures in an
attempt to stop life-threatening events." Geez, talk about generic.
David Robert Jones has Olivia and Nina prisoner. He tries to reactivate Olivia's powers. The Nina in the cell with Olivia is the Redverse Nina, partnered with Jones. Peter makes contact with the (apparently) dying September and learns too much about the Observers.

The glyphs for this episode spell out: UNITE
The brain activity readout on the computer screen has "Mr. X" as
    September's name.
In the lab, Walter makes a snack consisting of white bread, butter and sprinkles. This is known as Fairy Bread, a common children's treat in Australia which is where John Noble is from.

David Robert Jones: Every horse needs a carrot; every mouse a piece of
    cheese.

Dr. Walter Bishop: Oh, dear God, I have no idea if this man's physiology
is similar to ours at all.
Peter Bishop: It is. At least, that's what you told me in my timeline.
Dr. Walter Bishop: Oh. I suppose I have no reason to doubt myself.

Fringe S4E15 'A Short Story About Love'
IMDb sez: "The team hunts a killer who seems to be targeting couples - dehydrating the husbands and smothering the wives - with a very unusual motive. Peter and Olivia try to come to terms with her surfacing
memories and emotions from the original time-line and the fact that
she's beginning to forget parts of her life from the new time-line.
Meanwhile, Walter and Peter try to figure out September's disappearance
from the lab the week before."

The glyphs for this episode spell out: QUILL
When Nina and Olivia meet in the opening sequence at a restaurant, white tulips in water are on the table. Again, a reference to "White Tulip"
    (Season 2, Episode 18).
When Walter is looking at the slowed down footage of the Observers
removing September's body from the lab, you can see Scooby Doo on the
    monitor over Walter's right shoulder.

Nina Sharp: Now as for your feelings about Peter, all wounds heal over time. Olivia Dunham: Yeah. I just wish the time would move a little quicker.
Nina Sharp: Well, that's a coincidence, because we just filed a patent
    on that last week.

Astrid Farnsworth: Uh, Walter wants to know which of you has fearless
    nasal passages?

Dr. Walter Bishop: Mortius bestia -- roadkill. Specifically, an aromatic excretion from the castor sacs of the North American beaver used
primarily for marking and mating. I went beaver hunting in Eastern
Canada in the '70s. Of course, in those days, 'beaver' meant something
    else entirely.

Fringe S4E16 'Nothing As It Seems'
An incident occurs that bears remarkable similarities to an early case
in the original time-line, though there are some notable differences.
Olivia's memories of the new time-line continue to fade, and Broyles
places her on temporary leave, but her memories of original case assist
Peter and Lincoln. Lincoln gets infected with a virus and Walter must
    figure out a cure.

The glyphs for this episode spell out: FUTURE
The running gag continues in this episode where Walter calls Astrid "Aphid".

    What Did You Watch?

    I watched:

Wonder Woman (4K disc) 2017 movie directed by Patty Jenkins and starring
Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Set during a World War, Wonder Woman is the
first Avenger, I mean Justice Leager. She puts on a star-spangled
costume, wields a shield, and along with an American Captain (Chris
Pine), and the Howling Commandos, fights Germans. They must do battle
with one German in particular who has enhanced strength thanks to taking
a super soldier serum. The movie ends with the American Captain saving
the day by capturing and flying off in an enemy airplane full of weapons
of mass destruction. I just love original ideas in movies.

Wonder Woman 1984 (4K disc) 2020 sequel set in 1984, directed by Patty Jenkins, which has Wonder Woman trying to stop Maxwell Lord (Pedro
Pascal) from using a magic rock to grant everyone's wishes; wishes that
have a monkey's paw affect that Lord twists to his advantage. Wonder
Woman must also do battle against Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) who thanks to a
wish is now able to go up against Wonder Woman. The American Captain
also turns up again because reasons.

Man of Steel (4K disc) 2013 movie written by Christopher Nolan and David
Goyer and directed by Zack Snyder. Henry Cavill stars as the man of
Steel who after secretly living on Earth for 33 years discovers he's not
alone in the universe and his people, lead by General Zod (Michael
Shannon), plan to destroy the Earth so they can rebuild Krypton.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (4K disc) 2016 sequel which picks up
where "Man of Steel" ended with Batman (Ben Affleck) out for revenge
against Superman (Henry Cavill) for the destruction caused in the
previous movie. Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) also shows up to lend a hand
when the two frenemies finally come to their senses and team up against
a greater threat. This was the "R" rated extended version. If I'm
going to watch Batman fight Superman, it might as well be an "R" rated
fight. I guess in general I do like the movie. But there are so many
things about the movie that bug me to no end. Setting aside Jesse
Eisenberg portraying the worst Luthor ever. None of he characters in
this movie have *any* motivation to do half the things they do. Why
exactly does Luthor want Batman and Superman to fight each other?
What's his end goal there? When Superman does eventually confront
Batman, he *knows* it's a setup, yet for no reason I can figure out,
Superman proceeds to toss Batman around like a rag doll while
halfheartedly saying they need to talk. Then he's surprised when Batman
won't listen. Why would Batman listen to him we he's knocking him
around? At least the action scenes are good.

Yes. I forgot to mention, I definitely heard "Martha Kent" in the 1978 Superman movie. I don't recall ever hearing "Martha Wayne" in any of

The Last of Us (Max) - Ep's #2.1-2.3.
Ep. #2.1 was slow, and was mostly set up.
Ep. #2.2 was a barn-burner - very likely to be the best episode of
season #2. Lots happens. But the ending is pretty much a disaster for
the series. I'm guessing this development is straight out of the second
video game, and if so I now understand why the second video game is so divisive among the game's fandom.
From a TV series standpoint, I suspect this development will be
    fatal, however.
Ep. 2.3 is the aftermath of ep. #2.2, and it ends up with Ellie and
her new (girl?)friend going off on a revenge! REVENGE!! mission on their
own. The problem is, 1) this is not likely to be very interesting, esp.
'cos they're likely to draw it out; and, 2) they are now introducing a
bunch of new elements that I don't like and don't care about. Again, I'm
sure all of this from the second video game - if so, I now have a lot
less desire to ever play the sequel game!
Just 4 more episodes to go - I may try to finish this show out today.

    What did you watch?

    I watched:

Wonder Woman (4K disc) 2017 movie directed by Patty Jenkins and starring >>> Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Set during a World War, Wonder Woman is the >>> first Avenger, I mean Justice Leager.

How come all these people get first avenger billing when Thor’s been around
    for thousands of years?

He's the illegal alien so he gets second billing. Wonder Woman may not
be from America but she is from Earth.

Now wait a minute. Thor‘s mother basically *is* Earth. I’m not sure if they’ve ever specified where he was born but given that his mother lives
here I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s native born. And in any event, he’s been around longer than any countries are laws that would try to keep him
    out.

Meanwhile, Diana is a lump of clay given the appearance of life by what
    amounts to aliens’ majiks.

    She puts on a star-spangled
costume, wields a shield, and along with an American Captain (Chris
Pine), and the Howling Commandos, fights Germans. They must do battle
with one German in particular who has enhanced strength thanks to taking >>> a super soldier serum. The movie ends with the American Captain saving >>> the day by capturing and flying off in an enemy airplane full of weapons >>> of mass destruction. I just love original ideas in movies.

    Hee hee

Wonder Woman 1984 (4K disc) 2020 sequel set in 1984, directed by Patty
Jenkins, which has Wonder Woman trying to stop Maxwell Lord (Pedro
Pascal) from using a magic rock to grant everyone's wishes; wishes that >>> have a monkey's paw affect that Lord twists to his advantage. Wonder
Woman must also do battle against Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) who thanks to a >>> wish is now able to go up against Wonder Woman. The American Captain
also turns up again because reasons.

This was such a mess. It may be wonder if somebody else really directed the >> first one or if they sat on the Director in the first one and let her do
what she wanted this time. If so, it was a mistake.

Man of Steel (4K disc) 2013 movie written by Christopher Nolan and David >>> Goyer and directed by Zack Snyder. Henry Cavill stars as the man of
Steel who after secretly living on Earth for 33 years discovers he's not >>> alone in the universe and his people, lead by General Zod (Michael
Shannon), plan to destroy the Earth so they can rebuild Krypton.

Just like in THE INVADERS TV show.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (4K disc) 2016 sequel which picks up >>> where "Man of Steel" ended with Batman (Ben Affleck) out for revenge
against Superman (Henry Cavill) for the destruction caused in the
previous movie. Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) also shows up to lend a hand
when the two frenemies finally come to their senses and team up against >>> a greater threat. This was the "R" rated extended version. If I'm
going to watch Batman fight Superman, it might as well be an "R" rated
    fight.

I assume there isn’t any naked nudity so is there excessive gore or what? >> Or do they just say fuck too many times.

Hmm, I don't recall anything such as that so it may be "R" due to
    violence?

Hard to imagine you can even get an R rating for violence these days.

I guess in general I do like the movie. But there are so many
things about the movie that bug me to no end. Setting aside Jesse
Eisenberg portraying the worst Luthor ever.

Between him and the flash, it’s like they were trying to set new low end >> goals.

I'm much more willing to deal with Flash than with Lex. Lex is such a
good character to get ruined by Eisenberg's portrayal. What makes it
worse is we know the director and others accepted what Eisenberg was
    doing.

    Ick

    None of he characters in
this movie have *any* motivation to do half the things they do. Why
exactly does Luthor want Batman and Superman to fight each other?
What's his end goal there? When Superman does eventually confront
Batman, he *knows* it's a setup, yet for no reason I can figure out,
Superman proceeds to toss Batman around like a rag doll while
halfheartedly saying they need to talk. Then he's surprised when Batman >>> won't listen. Why would Batman listen to him we he's knocking him
around? At least the action scenes are good.

Is this the one where they bond because both their mothers were named
    Martha?

    Yep.

    Again, ick.

Yes. I forgot to mention, I definitely heard "Martha Kent" in the 1978 Superman movie. I don't recall ever hearing "Martha Wayne" in any of
    the Batman movies.

Yeah, Glenn Ford calls her “Martha Clark Kent“ in a clever bit of dialogue from the 1978 movie. But she was Martha all the way back in the 1948 Kirk
    Allyn serial.

The earliest movie reference I can find where Batman‘s mother is credited
as “Martha“ is 1995’s Batman Forever. Before that she seems to be mostly “Mrs. Wayne“

Just 4 more episodes to go - I may try to finish this show out today.

On the positive side, Pedro Pascal is no longer on the show.

    What Did You Watch?

The Last of Us (Max) - Ep's #2.1-2.3.
Ep. #2.1 was slow, and was mostly set up.
Ep. #2.2 was a barn-burner - very likely to be the best episode of
season #2. Lots happens. But the ending is pretty much a disaster for >>>>> the series. I'm guessing this development is straight out of the second >>>>> video game, and if so I now understand why the second video game is so >>>>> divisive among the game's fandom.
From a TV series standpoint, I suspect this development will be
    fatal, however.
