From Dimensional Traveler@3:633/280.2 to All on Mon Jun 9 00:34:40 2025
    I continued my Fringe Binge.

Fringe S4E08 'Back to Where You've Never Been'
IMDb sez: "In an effort to find a way home, Peter journeys to the Other
Side to confront Walternate. His venture proves more dangerous than
expected. Meanwhile, Olivia receives a dire premonition from an Observer."

The glyphs for this episode spell out: JONES
Difference between universes: When the mother is waiting for her son
outside of the restroom at Battery Park bus terminal, the magazine she
is holding looks like a National Geographic, but at ~8:38 you can see
the title is "American Topographic". An advert for the "Manhatan
Courier" and bus branding "Manhatan City Coach" re-enforces the 'over
there' spelling of Manhatan Island. Also outside the restroom, you can
see a poster for "Families of the Ambered Night Walk and Vigil".
Goof: When showing the shift between the Port Authority Terminal in each universe, the image of the alternate universe building has a third story
added by simply cloning the second floor -- but the artist mistakenly
copied the lamp head of a street light that is in front of the floor
below it. The new lamp has no pole supporting it.

Fringe S4E09 'Enemy of My Enemy'
IMDb sez: "Peter's visit to the other side intensifies as the alternate
Fringe division faces off against a formidable new foe in a harrowing
    race against time."

The glyphs for this episode spell out: DEATH
(I think that's pretty much a given in 'Fringe'.)
In the alternate timeline, you can tell that in the alternate universe
there is a small difference. The Fringe Division logo is different, but similar to the one in the future timeline that Peter visited in the
    season 3 finale.
Similar to Martin Luther King being on the twenty dollar bill in the Red Universe in the season two episode "Over There", David Robert Jones is
seen giving out 100 dollar bills in the episode with Andrew Johnson's
picture on the bill instead of Ben Franklin.
David Robert Jones states there are 47 of the "new" shape-shifters. 47
is seen throughout J. J. Abrams' productions. He likely noticed Joe
Menosky's frequent use of it, most noticeable in StarTrek: The Next Generation, and wanted to pay homage. It brought him luck as he went on
to produce and direct Star Trek features. It is also a prime number.
(Did 'Lost' start out with 47 survivors?)

Lincoln Lee: I lost a partner.
Peter Bishop: I lost a universe!

Peter Bishop: I just spent the last several days with the other Walter,
and I was very surprised to learn he was not the man that I thought he
was. But I am not at all surprised to learn that you are.
Dr. Walter Bishop: Is that a good thing?
Peter Bishop: Yes, Walter. That is a very good thing.

In the Alternate Timeline Blueverse, Walter never got a white tulip from Robocop.
(IMDb's not so cool way of saying it is: "Walter says, "I asked for a
sign of forgiveness, but I got nothing." He obviously is talking about a "white tulip", which (when Peter was in the BLUE timeline) Walter did in
fact receive - as a drawing of a white tulip due to the events from
"White Tulip" (Season 2, Episode 18)."

Alternate Astrid Farnsworth: Are you really from another timeline?
Peter Bishop: Ya, I think so.
Alternate Astrid Farnsworth (wide eyes): Cool.

    Fringe S4E10 'Forced Perspective'
IMDb sez: "Olivia continues to cope with the ominous warning from the Observers, while Peter and the team track a girl with the mysterious
    ability to predict death."

The glyphs for this episode spell out: MARCH
Emily Mallum's name was seen on a building called Mallum Insurance. In addition Mallum is close to Malum which in Latin means "evil".

    Fringe S4E11 'Making Angels'
IMDb sez: "Our Astrid gets an unexpected visit from her Alternate, while
Peter and Olivia track a killer using a toxin that has yet to be
invented. Both universes collide in a case that pushes the boundaries of
    what is possible."
(Doubled doubles, both versions of both Astrid and Olivia are in this
episode. But not all four in a single shot. I'm disappointed.)

The glyphs for this episode spell out: EMPATH
The running joke about Walter not remembering Astrid's name is back with
a vengeance. He calls her Astro, Aspirin and Astrix throughout this
episode. (But as Blueverse Astrid complains, Walter always calls
    Redverse Astrid "Astrid".)
Neil's safe combination is 7-9-3. Since Neil is a mathematician and
highly religious (to the point of believing himself to be an Angel of
Mercy on Earth), this is not surprising, as all three numbers are
considered divine numbers in most major religions of the world.

Dr. Walter Bishop: How about you and I share some delightful scrambled
    eggs, Astro?
    Alternate Astrid Farnsworth: It's Astrid.
Dr. Walter Bishop: That's funny. You never correct me. You're not you,
    are you?

Alternate Olivia Dunham: Oh. Isn't this a party? Hey, girls!
Dr. Walter Bishop: Mata Hari. Deceived and betrayed anyone yet today? It
    is almost lunchtime, after all.

I really don't remember any of this. But you could be rewatching just
about any show I only saw once 10 years ago and no matter how much I
liked it, I wouldn't remember the individual episodes.

    What Did You Watch?

    I watched

Batman Begins (4K disc) 2005 movie written and directed by Christopher
Nolan. Christian Bale stars as Bruce Wayne and Batman and unlike some
other actors (cough, George Clooney) manages to make each character
distinct. After the murder of his parents, Bruce leaves Gotham and is
trained by Ra's al Ghul and his League of Shadows, but after a falling
out, Bruce returns to Gotham and becomes Batman. Along with his trusted butler Alfred (Michael Caine) and Gordan (Gary Oldman), the last honest
cop in the city, Batman tries to stop the Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy). Excellent movie. The only reason this one doesn't get all the love and attention it deserves is the sequel managed to be even better.

The Dark Knight (4K disc) 2008 sequel written and directed by
Christopher Nolan which finds Batman going toe to toe against The Joker
(Heath Ledger) and along the way he must also stop Two-Face (Aaron
Eckhart). Even better than the first one.

The Dark Knight Rises (4K disc) 2012 sequel written and directed by Christopher Nolan which has Batman trying to go up against Bane (Tom
Hardy) except Bane has no time for Batman's nonsense so he breaks Batman
and leaves him for dead. Not as good as the first two due to some plot issues, but it gets the job done. And Tom Hardy's "Bane" makes it worth
a watch, and let's not forget Anne Hathaway plays a perfect Catwoman.

Green Lantern (blu-ray) 2011 movie starring Deadpool as Green Lantern
and Lady Deadpool as Green Lantern's girlfriend. It's an OK to turn
your brain off and ignore the many, many, plots holes, and just enjoy
the ride, type of flick. It does fall apart at the end, when the giant
cloud monster from "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" shows up.
But if you're already ignoring all the plot holes anyway, who cares.
At least the Green Lantern bits are good.

    What Did You Watch?

Yesterday, I turned my brain off, and mostly played my video game. So
    all I got through was:

soaps: DOOL - Apparently, this was Friday's ep! Mostly nonsense
involving Chad and Kat, and OriginalJennifer's (whom I've never liked!
bring back Cady McClain!!) and Jack's disapproval of this. Meanwhile, Stephanie's smutty manuscript is left behind at the hospital by a
distracted Kate and so it is discovered first by Anna DiMera, and then
later by (Nu)Sophia's mom! - the interesting part about this is that
Sophia's mom couldn't put it down! I guess Mrs. Choi has a kinky side!!
GH - Thur's ep. I enjoyed Ric shredding duplicitous Sasha on the
stand about her and her baby daddy, (Nu)Michael! But then they ruined it
by having Sasha go into labor (a month early) right there on the stand!
Dumb Willow ends up delivering the baby, so I wonder if this means
Michael and Willow will now bury the hatchet. But, in a dumb plot
development, Nina confronts Ric about tearing Sasha apart on the stand,
in front of Carly (this would never happen!!) so Carly finds out that
Nina was responsible for Sasha's baby daddy getting outed, and
retaliates by telling Drew that Nina is the one who drugged Drew and set
him up with the hooker!... And in the "Why did they even bother?!"
category, Lizzie turns down Lucky's marriage proposal, and tells him
it's 'cos he's a "rolling stone" at heart, so true to form Lucky is
again going to immediately leave town (almost certainly to never be seen again!). Also, I'm hoping they're finally setting up to write out Booby
Vista (her character on this show is absolutely useless!!). Finally,
Anna goes to Jason for help investigating the professor dude (as she
can't), while NuBrennan tells Josslyn that Anna is on to their
investigation so Josslyn needs to play dumb to Anna, lest Anna figure
out that Joss is a spy too!

golf - The Canadian Open's Day 3 mostly had people I had never heard of
(they must be Canadian golfers) at the top of the leaderboard. And, once again, the tournament was played in Ontario which just shows what a joke Canadian golf is - I think they've only played this in BC once that I
can remember, and I don't think it has ever been played in the Prairies
or the Maritimes that I can recall. >:/

In the evening, LMN was running some weird old Lifetime TV movie (from
2010) with Andie Mac-a-Dowell and Daniel Sunjata (WEHT him?!) and Ashley Williams, when she still looked like a baby and was still legitimately
"cute", called "Patricia Cornwell's At Risk". It was some nonsense where Mac-a-Dowell was the crooked(?) mayor, and Sunjata was a police
detective and I think Ashley Williams was supposed to be a CSI tech, and
they were either being menaced by or were chasing a serial killer or something... I'm not sure how I never saw this when it originally aired,
    but I don't think I did.

In "Once Bitten" the vampire said crosses didn't work because she was an
atheist. Perhaps the same thing for Jewish vampires?

It might go something like this:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7xnIzutKm8

From The Fearless Vampire Killers, or Pardon Me, But Your Teeth Are in My Neck:

[Magda tries to fend off Shagal, a Jewish Vampire, with a cross]
Shagal, the Inn-Keeper: Oy yoy! Have you got the wrong vampire!

I've heard the name, but never seen this movie before. USA Up All Night
had *one* job to do. Ensure I was raised with a proper cinematic
education, and it apparently failed miserably. Although, I'm pretty
sure they did air once, "A Polish Vampire in Burbank" and maybe "Love
Bites" too. So my education wasn't a total failure, just incomplete.

Holy s**t! If she's in this, I gotta watch it!! [checking...] And it
looks like Prime has it! I'll have to get to this before I cancel Prime
    in about 2 months!

Did you notice they charge you $20 extra to watch it?

Then JustWatch mislead me, as they implied that Prime Video has it (for free).

Just watch has 16 movies with that title but says the 2025 one isn’t available for free anywhere.

She does look nice with the fangs and the blood and the glowing eyes.

    Who doesn’t?

Like you've ever associated with a female who _doesn't_ have fangs and glowing eyes. :P

    Exactly

It’s hard to enjoy now with what we know became of Sharon Tate and the monster Roman Polanski turned into. But at the time it was a lot of fun.

I'm not sure if I ever watched it all the way through. I just have a

voice was coming out of a skeleton. That's really all I remember about it.
