Well this was a little paperback with a cute title and I grabbed
off the shelf at the SFPL-Main. I was a bit tardy getting into
it but when I did I found it was about a Witch, Sera Swan
who had lost nearly all of her power by casting a resurrection
spell on a dear friend. She has been banned from the magical
guild as a result and uses her remaining powers to keep the
the Batty Hole Inn going. She has a remarkable crew of
tenants at the inn selected by the spell she cast to keep
people with bad intentions away. There is a villain who
was formerly her tutor in magic but now he has risen to
a leadership role reinforced by magical contracts with
the leaders of the guild.
There areromances and resolution along the way.
