Manifest Spin-off Update Reveals Filming Update, New Characters,
& More for Netflix Show
----------------------------------------------------------------
A new update has revealed the first character details about the
Manifest spin-off Arrivals. According to the latest reports, the
Netflix show's filming status, new character details, and first
look have been revealed.

Arrivals: A New Manifest Mystery, the first spin-off from the
NBC drama series Manifest, is scheduled to film in Vancouver,
British Columbia, from January 19, 2027, to June 9, 2027. This
will be a notable change of scenery, as Arrivals moves its story
to Denver, since the original show was primarily shot in New York,
where the story was set.

While the exact number of episodes this spin-off will have isn't
confirmed yet, What's on Netflix reports that episodes run about
60 minutes each. The release date, meanwhile, hasn't been
confirmed for Arrivals, though the outlet says fans might see it
as early as early 2028.

Manifest Mystery
Casting directors Libby Goldstein and Junie Lowry-Johnson are
reportedly leading the casting, though no actors have been
announced yet. However, casting breakdowns offer a first look at
the new ensemble at the center of Arrivals.

Among the series regulars, there's Zoe, 27. A social worker lead,
she is smart, compassionate, and courageous, and grew up in foster
care, longing for a family of her own. Although she believes in the
universe and horoscopes, Zoe finds it hard to trust others.

Then there's Mike Deaver, in his 20s to early 30s. A former
Air Force helicopter pilot who now works for the Department of
Homeland Security, he's clean-cut and morally grounded, but a past
mistake still haunts him. He pairs up with Zoe.

Wes, in his 50s, is next. Though weathered and guarded, he is also
described as warm, honorable, and fiercely protective of his family.
He lives off the grid with Sloane and Joe. Sloane, 19, is a tough,
loving, resourceful, and cautious woman who shares a close bond with
Joe. She is also the victim of a pulmonary condition that requires
an inhaler.

Joining the ensemble are Billy, Zoe's wealthy, charming ex-boyfriend
and a commitment-phobic playboy with a complicated past; and Selena,
a strong, commanding natural leader with a history with Wes.

The recurring characters include Director Gary Bolton, a by-the-book
DHS director who trusts facts, rules, and procedure; and Francisco, a
hardworking family man who feels he deserves more from life and is
willing to bend his morals to protect his family.

As of this writing, it's unclear whether any of the original Manifest
cast will return in Arrivals.
