    L&M sucks like Gridlock and Midnight.

    The latter pair grew on me after a rewatch; the former did not (and
    has never).

    AFAIC RTD's second run consisted more of episodes along the lines of
    L&M (the space babies being a particularly cringeworthy early example)
    and he's made no secret of having wanting to do musicals, etc first
    time round, but such excesses were constrained by the BBC.

    I'd rather RTD had departed and Gatwa stayed, as I thought he was
    pretty good in the Moffat-penned Joy to the World
