    Good choice, George.

I'm reading Jack Kerouac's "Book of Haikus", very
    inspiring.

I'm actually considering just switching back and forth
from haiku to limericks for a while this year, if I can produce a
limerick that's more than just a throw away joke.

    Pretty cool I daresay.....
Agreed, always good to have some Jack Kerouac poetry on the >>>> board.

    Quite right, slick...

I'm sure there's quite a few Jack Kerouac poems about Fall and >>>> Winter, as it seems to have been two of his favorite times of the year. >>>> >> > >>

    Agreed.... and seconded, G.D....!

I have one Kerouac poem on the blog set in Winter, and another
post (3 haikus) about fall. I'd like to add more, but they're not easy >>>> to find..
G.D. you probably already have these J.K. poems...:

    Waiting for the leaves

I Tell You It Is October! (Excerpt)
    by Jack Kerouac

There’s something olden and golden and lost
    In the strange ancestral light,
There’s something tender and loving and sad
    In October’s copper might.

End of something, old, old, old…
    Always missing, sad, sad, sad…
    Saying something…love, love, love…

Akh! I tell you it is October,
And I defy you now and always
To deny there is not love

    Staring foolishly at skies
    Whose beauty but God defies.

    For in October’s ancient glow
    A little after dusk
    Love strides through the meadow
    Dropping her burnished husk…
