Another new poet to me, I found his biography:
https://www.google.com/books/edition/Local_and_National_Poets_of_America/QQ5aAAAAMAAJ?hl=en&gbpv=1&dq=%22Allen+R.+Darrow%22+%22poet%22&pg=PA740&printsec=frontcover
An excellent find, Zod. There wasn't a lot to that bio, but it had his
birth date, which is something PPP didn't have. (Ancestry.com had his
death date, but only a year of birth.) So I've added that to the
article.
I recognized the name ''Local and National Poets''; that's a reprint
of the 1890 anthology where I found Robert F. Skillings. I checked the
1890 edition -- he was in it, too -- and added that info to his
bibliography as well.
Scholarship lives.
Great to see obscurity cleared up once again.
I doubt that Darrow or Skillings will every make it into Wikipedia. PPP
may be the only place on the web to find all that information.
