Let me guess: 40YO virgins complaining that Piper looks too old now?

Let me guess. She was cast as a stupid desperate gimmick the
    same as Gatwa and Whittaker.

    Close!

I have to agree with you that Billie Piper's casting was
a gimmick, but it's done now and she's there... in whatever
role RTD has planned for her.

Is she the 16th Doctor? The Bad Wolf? Or Rose Tyler leaking
through the reality glitches from the alternate universe?
There's only one way to find out... stay tuned.

Let's make it easier. Retcon it as a bad dream and start again from Paul McGann giving him the full series he deserved.

    Not really.

Big Finish gave Paul McGann plenty of stories, so there's no
point in going back to him. It's easier for you to just put
everything since 1996 down to a bad dream from your point of
view and go forward with the 16th Doctor... it's your head-canon
    after all.

Surely that would then be "The New Ninth Doctor"!!

I thought we had established that numbers were boring and
    we were going with BillieDoctor?

I've slowly been able to convert SOME of you to my way of
thinking .... but only recently. ;-P

The more Doctors we have, the more confusing it gets.

Especially when you get perverse people [like me] who want to
    include Peter Cushing...

(Probably just for the fun of upsetting the people who take it
all so seriously and don't want to include him!)

Your system kind of works... to a degree. IF we adapted it a bit
and went with surnames though, it might just work properly; so
    PiperDoc, TennantDoc, GatwaDoc, WhittakerDoc, (etc.)

    Simples.

But then this "The New Ninth Doctor" hasn't happened YET so
how could I call Him/Her/It by any other name??

    Don't hold your breath!

Please don't tell me you forgot THAT... after all, YOU
    invented the system!

So why did YOU use the term "the 16th Doctor"?? Did YOU
    forget??

    Of course.

Your excuse of "old age" works for me too... ;-)

There's no proof that Billie Piper is actually playing the Doctor.
Those still bothering to watch the show will now have to wait about two
years to find out (assuming the BBC doesn't just cancel the show,
despite their claims not to be).

You keep asking for retcons... but when you get them, you
    don't like them!

Has "Doctor Who" not done enough messing with its past lore
    for you already?

Can't we just go forward without constantly changing the
    past?

If people have to wait two years for the next installment of
"Doctor Who", whatever viewers the show has now might have
    completely disappeared.

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder but the younger
generation have shorter attention spans these days ... I'm not
sure they will sit and wait two years... they will just move on.

New rumours are suggesting that before the next season there is a
Doctor Who Special coming to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the
relaunch. The rumour says the special will involve Billie Piper and
David Tennant, and possibly other incarnations of the Doctor too.
