I saw THAT rumour and I have to say, it seems highly unlikely.
There is a photo of her going around on set alright, but some
people say she just popped in to the studio as she was filming
something else nearby... and that's assuming it wasn't an AI
generated fake photo.

only got two of them.
Personally I think the 'Billie Piper will be the next Doctor'
rumour is so OTT it won't be true.
I wouldn't completely rule out a Billy Piper cameo in the season
finale though, as Rose Tyler... and I will be disappointed I
missed her off my checklist last week... BUT, people could just
be getting their Roses mixed up and it's Donna's daughter (Rose
Noble) that appears along with the UNIT crowd in "The Reality
War".
However, the same person who said it also said The Rani,
Susan and Omega for this season... so... <shrugs>
Although as you don't watch "Doctor Who" anymore it probably
won't matter either way.
Doctor Who ended in 2017.
IF Billy Piper is the 16th Doctor I think I might just say
Doctor Who ended in 2025!!!
