    UGH!

Nicholas Briggs as the voice ofthe Daleks?

That was the "Special Edition" originally released on DVD many
years ago, and since re-released on the Doctor Who Collection
    Blu-Ray series.

Nick Briggs does great Dalek voices so I thought they were a big
    improvement on the originals.

Blueshirt trivia: Day of the Daleks was the first Doctor Who
story that I watched (or can remember watching) as broadcast on
BBC1 as a child. We were living in Andersonstown in Belfast at
the time and Doctor Who became my escape from the real world of
riots down the road, loud bangs and constant whirring of
helicopter blades overhead. 52 years later, I still love Doctor
Who... and it all started with Day of the Daleks!

I'm old enough that for me it all started with "An Unearthly Child" back
    in 1963. :)

Wow! I am impressed. <claps> Well done sir.

May you continue your Doctor Who journey for many years to come
    yet...

Thank you. I'm 76, so I'm hoping for at least another ten years.

The most interesting thing about those early years is how, when the show started, the Doctor was more of an anti-hero than a hero, and almost an outright villain: cowardly, querulous, selfish and conniving.

    I have the original!!

The original as in, the official BBC Day of the Daleks VHS
tape that you paid for, or a snowy VHS that you copied from
    the TV?

Hint: Seen in North Amberica in the 1980s

So you taped it off the television then... I'll happily sell you
my official Day of the Daleks 'Special Edition' DVD so you can
move away from your snowy VHS copy!
