O.K., so I don't recall her having married Mickey Smith (over
there) .... so the '-Smith' just seemed soooo out of place.

I don't think that actually is the charcter's name, as Mike said

Don't know. I can't say I've noticed Freema in anything since
Law & Order (UK).

It will be good to see her back as Martha though...

She was in Sense8 - she was good, most of the show was a bit poor.

She was in New Amsterdam and was brilliant in it.

The show Your Name is referring to is, I think, Dreamland, which also
starred Lily Allen and was set in Margate. I thought it was excellent
though no, definitely not a comedy. Nor are more than half the shows touted
as comedies these days though, so I’ve learned to take that description
with a huge pinch of salt.

Doctor Who from an era when the show was great ... as in, 1972
"The Sea Devils".

That was Chibnall who did that and he totally ruined them which resulted
in the lowest rating episode of all time. Davies picked the monsters
after Chibnall used them in the aforementioned episode screened in 2022 knowing full well no one was interested in them.
