End of the Israel-Iran War?

Yesterday, Iran carried out a pre-announced attack on an American base in Qatar. It was its "golden bridge to retreat from the war," as Sun Tzu so eloquently put it.
The Iranian regime needed to react to show the populace how "strong" Iran is. The people are satisfied with the show of force, and the regime hopes to remain in power, despite having completely lost this war.
A ceasefire is now in effect, and hopefully, peace will return with it.
This isn't what Russia wants, but Iran is completely crippled, and ally Russia really isn't going to help. Iran has realized it stands alone.
