Title: Neua Yang (Thai Bbq Beef In Sweet And Hot Sauce)

1 tb Lime juice; freshly squeezed
1 tb Thai fish sauce
1 tb Dark sweet soy sauce
1 tb Honey
3 tb Shallots; thinly sliced
1 ts Garlic; minced
1/2 tb Powdered dried red Thai
- chiles
1 tb Green onion with tops;
- sliced
1 ts Cilantro; chopped
1/2 lb Steak; barbecued and thinly
- sliced diagonally
MMMMM---------------------OPTIONAL MARINADE--------------------------
2 tb Soy sauce
1 ts Salt
2 tb Vegetable oil
1 tb Red wine vinegar
Optional Marinade:
Mix ingredients and marinate steak for 2 hours or overnight.
Combine all ingredients, except steak, to make sauce. Adjust
seasonings to your taste, adding more of what you think it needs.
Bring to a boil; remove from heat and allow to cool.
Barbecue the steak to medium rare and thinly slice into 1/8" diagonal
slices.
Serve on a bed of lettuce covered with cooled sauce. Serve garnished
with sliced cucumbers and orange mandarin slices. A very colorful and
cool Spring or Summer dish.
