Title: Willa’s Apple & Bacon French Toast

Yield: 6 servings
5 lg Eggs
1/4 c Heavy whipping cream
1/4 ts Ground cinnamon
2 tb Apple brandy
6 sl Texas toast
2 c Thin sliced apple
12 sl Cooked peppercorn bacon
6 sl Gruyere cheese
Syrup
In a shallow dish, whisk together the first 4
ingredients. Preheat a greased griddle over medium heat.
Dip bread into egg mixture, letting it soak 5 seconds on
each side. Cook on griddle until golden brown on both
sides.
Preheat broiler. Place French toast slices on a baking
sheet. Top each with apples, bacon and Gruyere. Broil
2-3 in. from heat until cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes.
Serve immediately with syrup.
