I have three nodes on my Lan, wb, mtv, and tb.

ping from tb to mtv and wb fails.
ping to gateway/yahoo.com works.

I have copied the firewall settings, /etc/hosts from mtv to tb and
rebooted tb and yet tb can not ping mtv or wb but can ping the router.

systemd journal shows no dropped packets from tb on mtv or wb.

wb and mtv can ping everyone on the Lan.
wb and mtv can rsync/scp files to tb.

Except for Iface values tb route looks the same as/on all three nodes.

tb can ping the gateway. but not mtv or wb.

I have no idea on how/what to check next to resolve the failure.
Any suggestions welcome.

Please show the content of /etc/hosts.

Also show the output of "ip a".
/etc/nsswitch.conf is also relevant.
