and then some cunning Python Mailing-List˙ attached to it
˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙ (like a parasite)?

Check the Injection-Info header for the address of the news server operator. He can identify the account that posted it.
