"As of June 1, the Office québécois de la langue française says, ôthe generic or descriptive elements of a trademark (such as ingredients, colour, scent or other characteristics of the product) must also appear in French.ö Failure to follow the rules could result in fines of $3,000 to $30,000 per day for organizations. Fines are doubled or tripled for subsequent offences."
