Anyone else have the issue that elections.on.ca rejects linux-based browsers >> It works ok for me with firefox 128.7.0esr.

maybe the main site loads ok, but what about when you try to activate a search?

Could be, I have never used Brave so I can't even guess but the site works OK with my firefox on linux.

i forgot to mention.. the main page might load fine, but the problem starts

I get a page where I can enter a postal code. And entering a postal code and street name also works.

The voter's list is based on home address. If I lived at the
shop then maybe I'd be listed on the roster that they would
have at the Legion hall. :D But since I live elsewhere, I
have to go to another voting location.

The official election day is on the 27th, this Thursday, and I
just got my "Voter's Info Card" today! This is a completely
unnecessary call for vote by the current provincial leader.
This time of year sucks too.

Back on topic.. I'm surprised that there aren't many/any Brave
users on Linux. I thought the built in privacy and ad-blocking
would be a nobrainer for the linux elite.

That's how it works here too. But I didn't use you bookstores address to find your voting location. I just used it as an example because your bookstore has an easy to find postal code (and it isn't a private address). ;-)

I think most users, linux or other, elite or not, just stick to the more well known software. That makes your 'live' a little bit more easier, because others probably have already found and fixed possible problems.

I meant exclusive linux users, power users, who recognize that
Brave is pretty darn good!

Some sites, including legit ones, don't like the built in privacy and ad-blocking and may not work properly if it is detected.

I have tried Brave a few times and it was okay. It seems that the
super protective browsers like TOR use Duck Duck Go, which I assume
is similar but mostly I've used Opera for decades and they also
block ads and trackers and offer a basic VPN if needed. My biggest
problem is the computer I use most runs Windows 7 and Opera stopped
updating on that OS a while back.

Looking at the Opera Browser on my phone, where it's right up to
date and easier to find, it shows 25,425 Ads blocked and 59,805
trackers blocked since I first installed it..

K-Meleon isn't on the list of Browsers.

I didn't use it much on the XP box.
I saw someone write about it once and downloaded it to try it out

Not trying to be PICKEY , K-Meleon is just something I learned about long ago and didn't see it on that web page

It may not even be updated anymore by the folks at C-M.
