I do believe that's the case -- for the Church of England (Anglicans, aka "Catholic Lite; 33% fewer atonements needed"); but the Archbishop of Canterbury is usually stated as being their equivalent to the Pope, so maybe the regent is the A of C?
This is only a small group of protestants compared to the global total (I more favoured the Mennonite & Presbyterian branches(anabaptists & Calvinists)

The Sovereign's Orb:

[Interesting.. but there is nothing in scripture that talks
about post 30 AD monarchs as "God's representatives".]
[I suppose the Protestants proclaim their rep on Earth is their
King or Queen, and the Catholics proclaim that it is the Pope.]
