OK future episode, but nothing special. Nice way to explore a
plotline
the usual ages don't support. At least it was not trying to be
something
profound or emotional (I think), and casually jumping in by a few
years'
time jump thanks to another couch gag to set the scene, as opposed to
a
framing device, helped keep it simple. But it seemed oddly basic and
obvious, like a pilot episode for a new show that has to establish
its
characters and not get too adventurous with the plot (the Escape
After watching it, I am half-hoping maybe they are considering this a
"pilot" for advancing the age of the characters by a few years. One
thing
I noticed in this episode that was different from other age-advancing
episodes was how they aged Milhouse. He is normally still short but
has
facial hair or something. In this episode he was tall and almost
looked
like he could have been drawn by someone else (i.e. like some of the
guest
couch gag artists).
