Afiak, the only sync option atm is a Read Only view that updates automatically[1] when using the the Google Account's My Calendar option
to obtain the calendar's url iCal address.
Once obtained, open Outlook(new), add a new calendar and choose the
'Subscribe from web option', paste the Google calendar url iCal address followed by Import.
[1] Automatic does not indicate immediate. Delay can be a few hours to a
a full day.

Some articles imply success by full syncing the Google Gmail account in Outlook(New) though my recollection is that route is only email.
There are 3rd party apps that have been reported as potential solutions, though I cannot attest to their success(not having used or tried them).
e.g. Google's Workspace Sync for Outlook(don't know if it applies to
Outlook classic(stand-alone part of Office) or Outlook New[included in Windows) or 3rd party Calendar Bridge.
