    There's already enough spam in the groups as it is. Please don't go
    out looking for it and then posting your technically-correct-but- ultimately-futile question here.

    Your question assumes, wrongly, that trolls don't know they are doing
    anything wrong. Of course they know, and _any_ response just
    encourages them to keep up the behavior -- while tilting the mix of
    junk and non-junk in the newsgroup toward the junk side.
