  • "A Twist of Sand" revisited

    Many years ago I read "A Twist of Sand", an adventure/thriller by
    Geoffrey Jenkins.

    It's mostly set in Namibia, and when I first read it I hadn't ever set
    foot in Namibia. I recently found a copy in a second-hand bookshop,
    and bought and re-read it, but thisn time after I had been in Namibia.

    Despite having never been to Africa, I enjoyed your reviews and the book
    which I have just reread. My father had a copy which I had read and
    completely forgotten. Too much technical sailor talk for me but an
    interesting plot with brutal pragmatic characters and mainly possibly plausible.
