    What are your favorite ones?

    The only one I've used so far is Telix. Would love some non-commercial recommendations.

    It's not exactly "non-commercial", but you should check out Telemate.
    It's fully usable with a shareware nag when you exit. I liked it over
    Telix because I could set it to 80x26 EGA mode on my CGA monitor and
    have two status bars along with 80x24 of terminal space. Also, it has a
    DOS shell and text editor and scrollback in windows that you can bring
    up while you are downloading something (yeah, we don't really do that
    anymore). Anyway, it might be nicer depending on what you're using it
    on. Telix _is_ super simple.. in linux Minicom feels like a clone of
    Telix.
