Myself, my home internet is via mobile data. I used to get a
couple of tv stations OTA (VHF) suitable for the evening/world
news and the occassional primetime tv show, but I'm too far to
pick of the nearest digital version.
I used to be able to get a whole lot of stations OTA until they all went digital. Now I also get none OTA.
I half-wonder if they didn't force this conversion not only to be able to
sell licenses to part of the band to non-TV services, but also to push
people to pay services like cable and sattelite.
Of course, those last two are by now being replaced with streaming, but
that was not really a thing back when this started.
